turns 15: Norfolk & Western – At Dawn or After Dusk

September 8, 2016 § Leave a comment

I have selected only fairly new crushes so far, so here’s one love affair from the early days of One Chord To Another. This affair turned into a lifelong commitment and this album is still very dear to me. Even though I know all songs by heart I still regularly listen to this 2004 album from Norfolk & Western. Adam Selzer has done a lot of great things both as a songwriter/musician and as a producer, but for me Dusk in Cold Parlours is his masterpiece. It’s been about 12 years since this came out on Hush Records, so I suppose it’s already safe to say that this is one of my all-time favorites. I’m fond of almost every song on the album, but if I have to pick just one, it has to be this album closer At Dawn or After Dusk that perfectly wraps the album together. reaches 15 years on September 17. Leading up to that, I will be sharing some songs that I hold dear. Songs that I’ve loved the most during the years I’ve been making this. So basicly just some nostalgic crap, but with a damn brilliant soundtrack.
