About

One Chord To Another Blog is basicly the new life form of onechord.net website. The main focus is on Finnish pop music, but being a romantic fool who gets easily excited about anything that touches or moves him to tears, there will always be some pointless talk about pop and country records in general. Most of the music in this blog will fit into genres such as guitar pop, power pop, indie pop, country, alt-country, americana, because that’s the kind of music that I love.

If you are from a finnish pop band that has featured at onechord.net, I’m more than happy to buy your releases and promos are not necessary. If you are from some other band / label, feel free to send me a promo if you think it’s something that I should hear. However, I can only promise that I will listen to it. I do not promise to review it. Basicly if it’s something I really like or love, it’s very likely that I will review it. If it’s something that I don’t like that much, it’s very likely that I don’t review it.

If you want to know what kind of taste I have, here is a pointless list that contains bands and artists that I love:

The Posies, Jon Auer, Ken Stringfellow, Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons, Gene Clark, Emitt Rhodes, Margo Guryan, Lee Hazlewood, Teenage Fanclub, The Lemonheads, Evan Dando, Matthew Sweet, The Raspberries, Big Star, Badfinger, The Zombies, Jason Falkner, Left Banke, Stiv Bators, Brendan Benson, Ilona V, Sparklehorse, Ryan Adams, Whiskeytown, The Jayhawks, Wilco, Sloan, Trembling Blue Stars, The Heavy Blinkers, The Lucksmiths, Elliot Smith, James Iha, The Avett Brothers, Langhorne Slim, The Weakerthans, The Softies, Rose Melberg, Pipas, Neil Young, The Beach Boys and The Beatles.

That list could go on and on and I probably forgot something extremely important, because I wrote that in 5 minutes. But the point was just to give you a clue of what kind of music I love so it doesn’t really matter.
